Last month Sandra Miller of the American Airlines Maintenance base in Tulsa did something heroic.
She stopped to help a bicyclist who had be hit by a car. Thursday, EMSA gave her its prestigious ‘Community Spirit’ award for stopping to help.
Sandra Miller, "I probably would have stopped anyway I have had some nursing training. But the ERT has helped me quite a bit. Nursing you won't have the emergency response. The Emergency Response gave me the confidence to stop and help someone."
Sandra Miller is one of American Airlines 85 Emergency Responders.
