(Oklahoma City-AP) -- State Senator Cal Hobson says he has secured unanimous support from Democrats for a second two-year term as president pro tem of the Senate.

Barring a Republican takeover in the 2004 elections, Hobson's selection by Democrats means he'll lead the Senate until he leaves office in 2006.

Hobson says all Senate Democrats have signed pledge cards to support his re-election as pro tem.

The Democratic leader is serving his fourth Senate term and also served 12 years in the Oklahoma House.
