(Tulsa-AP) -- The Oral Roberts men's basketball team has signed Eric Fowlkes of Colby (Kansas) Community College.

Fowlkes is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound guard who averaged 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds last season for the Trojans, who finished 26-and-7 overall.

The mark was the second-best record in school history and helped Colby advance to the semifinals of the Region 6 playoffs.

Coach Scott Sutton says Fowlkes is a ``big, strong, physical guard who defends well'' and is a good addition to ORU's recruiting class.
