(Norman-AP) -- The owners of a Norman auto repair shop have been accused of scheming to overcharge customers.

Donna Long and her son, James Long, are owners of Porter Street Auto Repair. They were charged with four counts of unfair or deceptive practices in Cleveland County District Court.

Brad Long surrendered to authorities Monday. His mother was arrested Friday.

The two are accused of giving one customer a $280 estimate and then charging her more than $1,600. Investigators say the customer took the car to another Norman shop, where mechanics told her the repairs were incomplete and she'd been overcharged by almost $1,000.

The attorney general's office says the customer refused to pay Porter Street Auto Repair, and Donna Long threatened to seize her vehicle.

Complaints have also been filed to Norman Police about two businesses previously run by the Longs.
