A group of Oklahoma-based airmen returned home Monday from the warfront.
The men and women are based out of Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City. Saying goodbyes to their families is never easy for troops sent off to war, but the returns are always joyous occasions.
Six AWACS planes touched down at Tinker Air Force Base Monday afternoon bringing home roughly 250 technicians and pilots. All of them served in ‘Operation Iraqi Freedom’, some of them as long as six months.
But all of them say their glad to be home with their families.
