An Oklahoma sailor stationed overseas will be back with his family in a matter of days. Jonathen Edwards is on board the USS Abraham Lincoln.

The carrier is making its way to San Diego, from there Edwards will head home to Pauls Valley. His mother can't wait for him to arrive. She's even redecorating his room in a navy theme to welcome him home.

Alpha Elkins, military mom, “we're all just glad to have him back, I don't talk about it a whole lot because it is emotional and it touches another side of me, I don't talk about it a lot even though I feel it.”

Edwards has been overseas for close to a year. He will spend twenty days with his family, then return to his homeport in Washington.
