(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A new murder charge will be filed against Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols.

Assistant District Attorney Lou Keel says Nichols will be charged with first-degree murder for the death of the unborn child of bombing victim Robin Ann Huff.

Keel says Nichols is currently charged with first-degree manslaughter for the unborn child's death. Keel says a recent federal appeals court ruling makes murder the proper charge.

Nichols already faces 160 first-degree murder counts for his role in the 1995 bombing. A preliminary hearing is to begin on Monday that will determine whether he goes to trial on the state charges.

Nichols is serving a life prison term on federal convictions for the bombing.
