(Del City-AP) -- A Del City police officer has shot and killed a man.

Police were responding to a stabbing in the area when an officer was confronted.

Officials say the officer shot once and killed the man, whose name hasn't been released.

He was pronounced dead at the OU Medical Center.

Police are investigating the incident.
