You've probably heard cats have nine lives. Well, here's a survival story, which might prove the feline fable to be true.

During the McCormick's move from Hawaii to Oklahoma, they lost their cat. They assumed Leia just ran off during the move. It wasn't until 35 days later, when their couch arrived, they heard a faint meow.

Gordy McCormick tore through the netting of the couch and found a much skinnier cat. The vet told them it was a good thing she was overweight before the trip, a skinny cat probably would have died.
