Animal Aid of Tulsa is expanding. The group broke ground Monday on a new addition to its thrift store at 3307 East 15th.

They've only been in their building about three years, and have already outgrown it. The new space will provide room for retail sales, and that's great news because the thrift store is an important part of the organization's success.

Susan Warren, Animal Aid of Tulsa President, "All of the money we raise through the thrift store and the donations that we bring in go to assist our work with rescuing sick and injured animals around the city of Tulsa, providing their medical treatment, then helping them find new homes.”

Work on the addition should be completed in the next 60-days. Animal Aid of Tulsa has been helping sick and injured animals since 1961.
