(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The state House Tuesday passed a bill requiring computer technicians to report child pornography they find on computers they repair.
Representatives voted 89-to-9 for the measure requiring repairmen and installers to report any images or computer files showing sex acts involving a child younger than 18. Failure to report would be a misdemeanor and carries a $500 fine.
The bill now goes back to the state Senate for consideration of amendments, including one making it a crime to file a false report of child pornography.
