Broken Arrow Schools are adding some new items to their lunch menu. From sausage patties and fish sticks, to smoothies and lemonade.

Thursday, the students taste-tested each item and decided what was in and what was out. Jill Poole, Child Nutrition Director, “Students taste buds are different than adults and we like to give students a choice in what they're going to eat. They're the customer, so if they don't purchase it, then they're not going to come in and eat with us, so we want to make sure it's what they want."

After tasting each item, the students are asked to vote on it. School officials then tally the votes and put the most popular items on the menu for next year.
