Tulsa's hazardous materials team had to be called out Tuesday evening to investigate what made a couple of young girls sick.

Tulsa Police say around seven-o'clock Tuesday night, two 5-year old girls became ill near 132 North Wheeling. Both girls were unresponsive and were taken to the hospital. That's when the Haz-Mat team was called out to investigate. Officials checked the area where the girls were playing, that included everything from standing water to a dead animal, but haven't found out what caused them to get sick.

Tulsa Police Sgt Mark MacKenzie, “unknown why they're ill. But we wanted to be, take precautionary measures so HAZMAT responded out here to uh take some samples and to make sure nothing dangerous was in the area.”

There's no word on the girl’s conditions.
