Bail is set at 10-million dollars each for the man and woman now charged with kidnapping Elizabeth Smart.

The Salt Lake City District Attorney's office filed the charges yesterday afternoon against Brian Mitchell and Wanda Barzee.

Those charges include aggravated kidnapping, burglary and sexual assault.

It's the first time authorities have acknowledged that Elizabeth was sexually abused during her 9-month ordeal.

The Smart family has asked investigators to only involve her as much as they need in their case.

If convicted, the Mitchell and Barzee could spend the rest of their lives in prison.
