(Tecumseh-AP) -- A Tecumseh couple accused of beating a 9-year-old girl are to go on trial Tuesday on child abuse and neglect charges.

William Hagen and Sherry Hagen are accused of beating William Hagen's biological daughter. The girl was left blind from her injuries.

The Hagen's were charged last September after the girl was taken to Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

The girl is now in protective custody.
