STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Chelsi Welch scored 18 points to lead the Oklahoma Sooners to a 71-57 bedlam victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Welch added two rebounds and two assists for the Sooners (18-10, 9-6 Big 12 Conference), who shot 53 percent from the field, including 13-of-18 free throws.

Beky Preston scored 13 points and 10 rebounds for OU, while Theresa Schuknecht had 12 points, 11 rebounds and two assists.

The Cowgirls (7-19, 3-12 Big 12) stumbled offensively in the first half, hitting only 8-of-34 (23 percent) from the field. OSU recovered in the second half after trailing 32-23 at intermission, but the Cowgirls couldn't make up the first-half deficit.

They shot 32 percent from the field for the game.

Trisha Skibbe led OSU with 17 points and five rebounds and Meghan Craig added 15 points and five rebounds.
