Road conditions seemed to get progressively worse when you head north of Tulsa. News on 6 anchor Scott Thompson took to the air with Sky 6.

From the sky, Green Country seems serene under its blanket of winter white. But the pretty picture is deceiving. The further north you go, the more dangerous the route becomes. Winter's offering hasn't shutdown traffic, just slowed it a bit.

Several snowplows are out sanding the icy patches clinging to the road. But they're still treacherous. One sign an abandoned car half-buried in snow, a little further down the road a pair of travelers trying to urge a stubborn truck out of its rut.

As we close in on Bartlesville, the snow gets a little thicker and the roads get worse. The side roads these cars creeped along seemed like they hadn't been plowed at all.

Closer to Tulsa most major streets were all clear. Snow still piled up on the sides of the roads, but traffic moved along smoothly. And in areas south of town like Glenpool, the snowfall didn't seem more than a dusting. Their roads were all clear, and in some areas the snow barely covered the grass.

Despite several snow-packed roads, we didn't see a single accident along Highway 75 north or nearby roadways. It looked like many are staying off the streets or driving pretty carefully.
