(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A blaze that destroyed a house was one of three fires that kept Oklahoma City firefighters busy.
A blaze had already engulfed a two-story house in far northwest Oklahoma City last night when firefighters arrived.
Major Brian Stanaland says firefighters sprayed water onto neighboring houses to protect them from the intense blaze. Stanaland says a woman inside the burning house escaped unharmed.
The house was valued at 450-thousand dollars and several cars in front that were destroyed were valued at 60-thousand dollars.
Earlier in the day, a passing train caught nearby grass on fire and the flames spread to a warehouse filled with scrap wood near Interstate 35 in southeast Oklahoma City. Stanaland says 20 to 30 acres were burned.
Another small fire at a railroad train yard also was fought.
