A late night shooting sends one person to the hospital. Tulsa Police were called to a home in the 6700 block of East Independence around 11 o'clock Sunday night.
As they drove towards the house, they spotted a car leaving the area quickly. They followed it, and stopped the driver a few blocks away. Tulsa Police Sgt Curtis Beard, “inside the vehicle was a subject identified as George Martinez. He's been alleged to be the shooter in a shooting that occurred at 6733 East Independence just moments before the stop.â€
Martinez had a cut on his hand and was treated by EMSA. The shooting victim was taken to the hospital with a bullet wound to the face. We don't have his condition.
Tulsa Police believe the shooting occurred during an argument, and alcohol may have had something to do with it. They are still investigating.
