When doctors pay high malpractice insurance it comes out of their patients' pockets.
Here in Oklahoma those costs are skyrocketing. Premiums for malpractice insurance are up by 60 percent over last year.
Last year general physicians paid a little more than $3100 a year, this year, it's up to more than $5000.
Specialty doctors like those who deliver babies or perform back surgeries pay as much as $50,000 per year.
