Dante Swanson sparked a second-half run that helped Tulsa seal an 81-to-58 victory over Texas-El Paso Saturday night in Tulsa.
The Golden Hurricane opened the second half with a 23-to-10 spurt and UTEP couldn't catch them after that.
Jason Parker led the 14-and-8 Golden Hurricane with 17 points. Swanson finished with 16, including four second-half 3-pointers.
Swanson hit a 3-pointer on Tulsa's first possession of the second half. He hit another moments later to give the Golden Hurricane a 40-to-28 lead. A three-point play by Parker made it 53-to-34 at 11:03.
Giovanni Saint Amant led 4-and-18 UTEP with 19 points, but made just 8 of 23 field goals.
