The number of meth labs in Tulsa seized by police is up. 178 meth labs were seized in 2002, compared with 124 in 2001.

That's an increase of 44%. Most of the labs seized are small ones used to make meth for personal use.

Authorities credit improved training and spotting by officers rather than a major jump in the manufacturing of the drug.
