(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A state Senator says a proposal to require official state business be conducted in English could be the end of a law allowing driver's license testing in Spanish.
Senator Bernest Cain of Oklahoma City says the licenses are considered official state business.
Cain says if the proposal by Senator Ron Kirby of Lawton passes, it would supersede the law allowing the testing in Spanish.
Kirby disagrees. He says if the law requires testing in Spanish, tests will be given in Spanish.
The law allowing driver's license testing in Spanish passed last year, but hasn't been implemented because of the state's financial crisis.
