Coldest day of the season so far, it was 8 degrees Thursday morning. News on Six reporter Rick Wells set out Thursday to see how Tulsans are dealing with the extra cold temps.

It's still cold, on days like Thursday if something is going to go wrong with your car, weather like this brings the problems along a little faster. AAA has very busy. Tracy Hedrick with AAA Oklahoma, “today between six and now I've had about 60 calls and usually it's not that busy. Thank you for calling AAA Oklahoma its Tracy." See she was too busy to even talk to us much.

One of her callers was Eugene Carney from Bartlesville. Came down to visit a friend, couldn't get home the car wouldn't start. Bill Snow a tow truck driver from AAA came out couldn't get the car going so Mr. Carney and his car got a ride home.

AAA estimates a 50% jump in the number of calls on a day like Thursday.

A fountain is on the Main Mall at the First Place Building, as temps have gone down, it grows. It’s about 8 or 9 feet tall, could grow some more. Building maintenance knows about it not much they can do.
