(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Educators are worried that starting school later will conflict with university schedules and decrease summer enrollment at local colleges.
Several school districts have considered starting school after Labor Day to avoid high cooling bills of the summer.
Tulsa schools did it this year and saved about 100-thousand dollars a week.
Oklahoma City schools have agreed to start after labor to cash in on utility savings.
Coyle Superintendent Wilmer Cooper says it's important for the school and universities to have similar schedules because many parents, students and teachers attend classes in the summer.
