The cold weather is affecting a lot of us, including our pets. During this cold weather, they can be at risk too.

Stores like PetsMart, on 41st Street in Tulsa offer ways to help them make it through the bitter weather. They have sweaters, warm beds to sleep on, and heated bowls to keep water from freezing.

Tracy Maddux with PetsMart: "Pets just like us need a place to be able to keep warm, have water to drink, food to eat. Dogs will eat more during the winter, so you need to make sure you're feeding more so that they can build that extra fat to keep them warm."

Tracy also suggests your pet get plenty of exercise, and if you use some type of chemical to melt ice, make sure it's safe for animals.
