Tulsa has a new massage ordinance. It was passed Thursday night by the City Council.

The ordinance among other things creates new requirements to be licensed as a massage therapist. Therapists must be nationally certified. The measure also raises fees for massage technician and apprentice licenses from $25 and $15 to $150 and $135.

The ordinance passes by a 5 to 1 vote with councilor Randy Sullivan voting against.
