(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Dallas police have arrested a man wanted for questioning in the shooting deaths of his parents in eastern Oklahoma.

A spokeswoman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations says officers Tuesday found Clyde Chavers asleep on the side of a road in Dallas.

Texas authorities found that 45-year-old Chavers was being sought for questioning about the December 24th deaths of W-B and Charlene McLaughlin after checking his name on the national crime database.

A relative found 66-year-old McLaughlin dead outside his home five miles west of Heavener. 65-year-old Charlene McLaughlin was found inside the home.

Both had been killed by shotgun blasts.
