There's been a change of scenery for several Broken Arrow Middle School students.

BA's new Centennial Middle School opened for classes Tuesday for the first time. Centennial will be the new home for more than 500 faculty and students who previously occupied the old Central Middle School. School officials say there's room for hundreds more.

Principal Rob Armstrong, "Some of the big differences square footage, 200,000 square foot building. Central Middle School was 35,000 square foot, so we've grown up a bit. We've just provided for a much better environment for our kids."

More construction is being done at the school. A new gym and kitchen will be competed this fall. The new school was made possible by bond issues.
