Luke Spencer-Gardner scored 13 of his 15 points in the first half to help ORU take a 42-to-28 lead into intermission. Tyrone Tiggs added 13 points and six rebounds for the Golden Eagles.
ORU avenged an 80-to-68 loss at Colgate last season. Spencer-Gardner sank 9-of-10 free throws, had five assists and four rebounds.
Tim Sullivan, 8-of-13 from the field, paced the Red Raiders with 21 points. Colgate, which was held to 18 points under its season average, has lost five of its last six.
Howard Blue added 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds for Colgate.
