(Sapulpa-AP) -- Creek County is the latest county in Oklahoma that won't enforce the cockfighting ban.
District Judge Donald Thompson has issued a temporary restraining order to prevent enforcement of the ban in Creek County. Another hearing on the matter is set for January 22nd.
Voters statewide passed a ban on cockfighting in November.
Tulsa and Oklahoma counties and adjacent counties provided the winning margin. The ban failed in 57 of 77 counties.
Since then, cockfighting supporters have gotten restraining orders in 20 counties prohibiting enforcement of the ban.
Also, a state senator from Henryetta has proposed making the ban effective in only the 20 counties where it passed.
