St Francis Hospital welcomed Tulsa's first arrival into the world early Wednesday morning.

Mitchell was born at 12:15 Wednesday morning, tipping the scale at 8 pounds. It was quite a cause for celebration for proud parents Robert and Debbie.

They'd actually been waiting for little Mitchell to arrive since last Friday, and didn't imagine their newborn son would be Tulsa's first baby of 2003. Debbie, â€œyesterday at this time, we had no idea. We were just anxious to have a baby."

Mitchell's big sister Julia is pretty proud herself. We're told when she got the good news; she started jumping up and down in excitement.
