(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Six Oklahoma companies are among the nation's largest in the annual Fortune 500 list.

Bartlesville-based Phillips Petroleum is ranked highest among the Oklahoma companies at number 81, up from 89th last year.

Tulsa-based Williams Companies is 174th, Tulsa-based Oneok is 276th, Kerr-McGee of Oklahoma City is 446th and OG-and-E Energy of Oklahoma City is 482nd

Oklahoma City-based Devon Energy is ranked 497th.

Arkansas-based retailer Wal-Mart is number one on this year's list and Texas-based Exxon Mobil is second.

The list published in Fortune magazine reached newsstands Monday.
