OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ With two state teams in separate Final Fours in separate cities, what's a sports-loving governor and his wife to do?
Gov. Frank Keating and first lady Cathy Keating want to watch the Oklahoma women play in San Antonio. But they also want to watch the OU men play in Atlanta.
``This is big-time for Oklahoma,'' Cathy Keating said Tuesday. ``We're trying to make both of them, but it's a logistical challenge.''
The women play Friday night against Duke. If they win, they would play for the national championship on Sunday.
The Oklahoma men play in the national semifinal Saturday night against Indiana. A victory would send them to the title game Monday night.
The plan is for both to attend the women's game Friday, then head to the men's game Saturday. If the Sooner women win, the Keatings plan to fly back Sunday to San Antonio, then return to Atlanta if the OU men win Saturday.
But the state airplane is not working. And the two also have to schedule a return Monday to the Capitol so the governor can work in the morning before possibly flying that afternoon to Atlanta.
Staff members in the governor's office are scrambling to find a way for the couple to attend.
``We're calling anybody and everybody we know,'' Cathy Keating said. ``We're trying to see if we can hitch a ride.''
