Some young Tulsa area musicians took an exciting music lesson Monday. The instructors make up one of the nation's most dynamic string quartets.

The Pacifica Quartet performed here over the weekend as part of Chamber Music Tulsa's season. They lead a class Monday for students from area middle and home schools. In addition to an active international touring schedule, the Chicago-based quartet is regularly featured on National Public Radio's "Performance Today" classical music program.

Members are committed to music education, and created a program providing performances and teacher training in four Chicago inner city elementary schools.
