The images of the Attack on America are still fresh in the minds of just about everyone in this country. That includes a group of young Tulsans who are raising money for families affected by the September 11th attacks.
70 dancers from the Patti Parrish Dance Company in Sapulpa held a benefit performance this weekend. They performed a variety of ballet, pop and tap dancing routines.
The dancers range in age from 8-to-18, and they all say the events had an impact on their lives. Daniel Whitfield, dancer: "When you're in Oklahoma, you can't do much and being in dance school just raising money to see people have fun" Tyne Shillingford, dancer: "I have a lot of family members in New York and I know when September 11th happened I was in school and we had televisions around and I was worried about my family."
The group raised about $2,000. All of the money goes directly to the people in New York.
