Homeowner stops burglary

Tulsa Police are looking for a suspect who tried to break into a home early Monday. His victims managed to keep him out of their home, and it's a story you'll only see on the News on Six.

Police were called to the home around 8th and Lewis around 1 AM. The homeowner says a man tried to force his way into his home. The suspect was armed, but that didn't stop his would-be victim. Tulsa Police Corporal Shawn King, â€œ The victim says he was able to shove the would be burglar back outside. When he shoved him back outside he then heard a shot.â€ Officers searched from the area, and from the ground with the help of canine units, but they didn't find anyone.

Police say this is the same area where a home invasion took place last week.
