Oklahoma lawmakers are once again debating a statewide lottery. Supporters say it could raise $50-million for the state. Opponents say it would encourage gambling.

You may be surprised to know there's already gambling in Oklahoma, and it's completely legal. Creek Nation Tulsa Bingo isn't just a bingo parlor; it's also a casino, complete with electronic machines. They look, sound and pay-off just like Vegas or Atlantic City, but these machines are electronic bingo with a bonus spin. There's also casino-style Blackjack.

Melissa Tuttle says new players are always surprised when they come in. "Basically, wow, we didn't know this was here; we didn't know you had the machines, we just thought it was Bingo."

Creek Nation's Bingo Hall brings in millions of dollars, much of it from out of state. Officials say proceeds first go toward player winnings and operations; the rest goes to programs for health, welfare and scholarships for tribal members.
