Tulsans are remembering those killed in the September 11th attacks. 'Up with Trees' has begun erecting a memorial in the victims honor.
Over the weekend, 'Up With Trees' began work on a statue and an American flag at the project site. Organizers say each tree represents something special. Scott Parent an 'Up With Trees' volunteer: "We wanted at least 84 trees in here so that each country who lost lives in the tragedies, in the Pentagon, Pennsylvania and in New York. Each country that lost a life is represented by a tree here."
The tree memorial will be formally dedicated on March 11th, the six month anniversary of the terrorist attacks. It will be located at the intersection of I-244 and Highway 11.
