NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State won the first four matches of the day, then got important victories later on to beat Oklahoma 17-8 and sweep the regular-season series between the wrestling teams.
The fourth-ranked Cowboys (19-3, 4-0 Big 12) took a 12-0 lead by getting decisions from Jerrod Sanders at 149 pounds, Shane Roller at 157, Tyrone Lewis at 165 and Ty Wilcox at 174. Roller got a takedown late in the third period to win his match with Doug Cieleski.
No. 6 Oklahoma (16-5, 3-2) made it close by winning three in a row, beginning with Josh Lambrecht at 184. Tom Grossman (197) and heavyweight Leonce Crump followed with one-point victories to make the team score 12-9.
The Cowboys regained control of the match with decisions by Skylar Holman at 125 and Johnny Thompson at 133.
The final match, at 141 pounds between Ronnie Delk of OSU and Nate Parker of Oklahoma, was called with one second left due to misconduct on both sides. Each team was deducted a point.
``The tougher team won today,'' Sooners coach Jack Spates said.
