Oklahoma ranks among the top states for homeland defense. Experts say that's because troops here frequently train for terrorist attacks and disaster emergencies.

US Air Force units in Midwest City at Tinker Air Force Base trained this past weekend for four different crisis situations. They went through disaster scenarios including tornadoes and plane crashes.

Military leaders say the teams focused on assessing damage and recovering victims.
