To Catch a Crook, catching a couple of bank robbers. They left behind some of the money and plenty of evidence, but Tulsa Police need a bit more to crack the case, they hope you can help.

The two men who robbed the Commercial Federal Bank on East 21st Street, both wore masks over their faces; they burst in at 9:20 in the morning when the lobby was full of customers and workers. Tulsa Police officer Lucky Lamons, "Both them were armed with pistols and they crashed in and as you can see, told the clerk to get back and jumped over the counter and took money from the register."

Police say after the men got what they came for, they bought a little extra time to make their get away. "Before they left, they pointed guns at everybody and made them lay down and went out the East doors and got into a gold or silver Chevy Monte Carlo.” Detectives found the stolen Monte Carlo a few miles away, that's where they found some of the stolen money and other evidence.

If you know who committed this robbery, you can call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You don't have to give your name and if your tip helps police make an arrest, the Citizens Crime Commission will pay you up to $2,000 in cash.
