The FBI has arrested an Oklahoma man on weapons charges in connection with an investigation of a Tennessee man tied to white supremacists.

Officials believe Jack Spores of Midwest City was a supplier for Michael Smith.

Smith was arrested after police say he pointed a rifle at a synagogue and led officers on a chase.

Gary Johnson, FBI Special Agent: "The indications are that Jack Ray Spores may have supplied Michael Smith with some improvised hand grenades, also with some pipe bombs and sniper rifles."

Smith has associations with the Ku Klux Klan, the Neo-Nazi National Alliance and other extremist groups.

After his arrest, Smith told investigators about a cache of weapons. Included was an anti-tank rocket, pipe bombs and bomb-making chemicals.
