FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ Jannero Pargo scored a career-high 32 points Thursday as Arkansas ended a 10-day layoff with a 98-84 victory over Tennessee-Chattanooga.
Pargo hit 7-of-12 three-pointers and also dished out four assists.
The Mocassins (4-6) cut a 54-37 halftime lead to six points with about 13 minutes left. But Brandon Dean and Pargo hit consecutive three-pointers to push the margin back up to 69-57 with 11:30 remaining.
Dionisio Gomez had two baskets and Pargo had a steal and layup as the Razorbacks (6-3) extended their lead to 79-63 with nine minutes on the clock.
Tennessee-Chattanooga never got closer than 13 points the rest of the game.
Pargo had the hot hand early, hitting four three-pointers and his first six shots overall as the Razorbacks raced to a 22-8 lead in the first 4 1/2 minutes.
Tennessee-Chattanooga got within 35-33 with 5:53 remaining before the half until Arkansas closed with a 19-4 run to take a 54-37 lead at intermission.
Young, whose 31 points paced the Mocassins, hit a pair of three-pointers and McCully had six points in the second-half rally that cut a 19-point lead to six.
