Retirement options are growing for aging adults in Green Country. A new retirement community says it will offer resort-style amenities with all the comforts of home.

Construction has begun on Inverness Village, which developers say will offer state of the art living for socially active adults. And while it's not cheap, Inverness officials say it's the investment of a lifetime. Tom Williams, Executive Director Inverness Village: "Folks that come in pay an entrance fee that partially underwrites long term health care they may need whether its home health or skilled rehab or assisted living. When they come in we take care of them for life."

Inverness Village, located on E 71st St, also plans to offer a full time fitness director for the benefit of residents.
