FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) _ Wide receiver Terry Glenn was suspended for one game by the New England Patriots on Thursday, his second suspension of a season in which he has played only once.

``It's a disciplinary matter, not injury-related,'' coach Bill Belichik said. Glenn, sidelined the last six games by a hamstring injury, was at practice Wednesday but did not participate in the full-team workout.

``We've been down this road before,'' Belichick said in citing a team rule against disclosing details of suspensions. ``It happened yesterday. It's done. That's it. It's a week's suspension.''

Glenn was not seen in the Patriots' locker room before practice Wednesday during the time reporters are allowed access. Belichick said Glenn would be allowed to return to the premises on Monday.

On Wednesday, New England put Glenn on its injury report as ``probable'' for Sunday's game against the New York Jets, meaning there was a 75 percent chance he would play. In the previous six weeks he was listed as doubtful or questionable

``It's been six weeks since the injury,'' Belichick said Thursday. ``It's gotten better.''

Glenn was suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The team suspended him for the rest of the season for leaving camp, but that suspension was overturned by an arbitrator.

The Patriots also withheld $8.5 million of an $11 million signing bonus.

Glenn returned from his league-mandated punishment and caught seven passes for 110 yards in Week 5 against San Diego. But since then, he has been out with a lingering hamstring injury that he implied was related to his signing bonus being withheld.

``I'm bothered by a hamstring right now, and I'm not getting paid,'' Glenn said in an interview on WBZ-TV on Sunday night. ``You do the math.''

Belichick said the suspension was not related to that interview.

Five other grievances brought by Glenn _ including one seeking the return of his signing bonus _ remain unresolved. He also faces criminal charges of assaulting the mother of his son.
