TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ A teen-ager was killed and another was injured in unrelated Creek County gun accidents Saturday, officials said.

Justin White, 13, of Sand Springs, was hunting on his family's property when he dropped his 12-gauge shotgun while trying to climb down from a deer stand, Creek County Sheriff's Sgt. Johnny O'Mara said.

White's gun discharged when it hit the ground, sending a bullet through his leg.

The Keystone Elementary School seventh-grader was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he later died. White had been hunting with an adult family friend.

In a separate incident, 13-year-old Colt Weaver shot himself in the leg with a .22-caliber revolver while loading or unloading the weapon about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, O'Mara said.

The accident occurred in the Olive community just east of Drumright.

Weaver was not badly injured and later walked out of Cushing Hospital, authorities said.

``He is a lucky young man,'' O'Mara said.
