McALESTER, Okla. (AP) _ An inmate's escape from the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center proved to be short lived.

Alvara Orta was captured by Tarrant County, Texas, authorities Saturday morning. Orta was discovered missing from the minimum security facility around noon Friday.

Orta, 29, had been serving a 15-year sentence for possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.
