Tulsa voters approved a $140-million bond package designed to revamp the Tulsa School district.

22,356 (78.44%) voted for the first proposition and 6,144 (21.56%) voted against it.

Voters approved the second proposition by a 22,345 (78.62%) to 6,076 (21.38%) margin. In the third proposition, patrons voted 22,237 (78.59%) for and 6,058 (21.41%) against.

In the fourth proposition, the vote was 21,723 (76.94%) for and 6,512 (23.06%) against.

The bond proposal was divided into four categories. More than $101-million for facilities. $8-million for libraries. Nearly $26-million for textbooks and technology and $5-million for buses, for a total of $140,710. A new school building for Eugene Field Elementary in west Tulsa was one of the major items in the package, which also includes renovations at 21 school sites, new roofing, and air conditioning for several schools, 11 new libraries, new gymnasium for Will Rogers High, musical instruments and more.
