Several employees at Tulsa Public Schools got quite a surprise Tuesday. Tulsa School Superintendent David Sawyer presented six employees with balloons and gifts honoring them as one of the finalists for TPS support employee of the year.
One was Lhonda Albert. "We all work together as a team and it's really hard to pick out individuals and it's an honor to be nominated." Dr David Sawyer, "Gives us a chance as a school district to share with everyone the good work our support employees do."
The support employee of the year will be announced November 29th at a district-wide breakfast.
